RIVERSIDE COUNTY:

On December 2, 2019 the court will launch a newly designed public facing website in an effort to provide court users with access to information in a timely and efficient manner. The website redesign will host some new and improved features such as:

• More responsive design for mobile devices – The application will now offer use of a tile-based format and image driven interface, which is cleaner, friendlier, and less text heavy. The site images, buttons, and text will also scale more appropriately, remaining larger and greatly increasing the legibility of text and images for public users.
• New local site search – Search capability will be greatly improved using a modern open source style technology, which will allow for better search results for the public.
• Content Management System – The site will allow frequently changing pages to be updated more quickly and efficiently, assisting the court in keeping the content of the site current, resulting in better overall service to court users.
• Improved ADA accessibility - The site will host text-based link notifications to increase recognition of these events, links opening in a new tab have been removed, and links with vague descriptions have been renamed with more detail. It has also been tested for compatibility with NVDA (Non-Visual Desktop Access), a free open source screen reader.

Presiding Judge John W. Vineyard remarked, “As technology advances at a record setting pace, the court must continually strive to keep up with these advances so that court users have the information they need to conduct their business, literally at their fingertips. I am confident that the new website design will result in a more pleasant navigation experience for the public.”
