FIREARM EMERGENCY PROTECTIVE ORDERS

FIREARM RESTRAINING ORDERS

Release Date: April 9, 2018

To Law Enforcement Agencies:

Effective immediately, all Firearm Emergency Protective Orders shall be submitted by law enforcement as follows:

• During court work hours: Firearm Emergency Protective Orders will be handled by the judicial officers assigned as follows:
  • Western Region: Riverside Hall of Justice - Department 54
  • Mid County Region: Murrieta Southwest Justice Center - Department S201
  • Desert Region: Indio Larson Justice Center - Department 3N
• During non-court hours: On-Call Magistrate

All Petitions for Firearms Restraining Orders shall be filed at the following locations:

• Western Region: Riverside Historic Courthouse – Civil Division
• Mid County Region: Murrieta Southwest Justice Center – Self-Help Filing window
• Desert Region: Indio Larson Justice Center – Family Law Assistance Center
