RIVERSIDE COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT TO TAKE PART IN NATIONAL ADOPTION EVENT NOVEMBER 23, 2013
RIVERSIDE COUNTY: The Riverside County Superior Court is pleased to announce that it will take part in a collaborative effort with the Riverside County Department of Public Social Services to honor families who adopt children during the month of November in celebration of National Adoption Month. This marks the 6th annual Adoption celebration in Riverside County.
While hundreds of adoptions take place in Riverside County each year, certain families have opted to finalize their adoptions during November in honor of National Adoption Month. The confidential adoption finalization hearings will take place on Saturday November 23, 2013, at the Historic Courthouse, located at 4050 Main Street, Riverside, CA 92501. The event will begin at 8:00 AM. Approximately a total of 36 children will be adopted in Riverside County during this special event. The Department of Public Social Services will be honoring families and children taking part in these events with refreshments and gifts.
National Adoption Month is a collective national effort to raise awareness of the more than 129,000 children in foster care nationwide who are eligible for adoption. These events will bring together hundreds of judges, attorneys, adoption professionals and child advocates who are dedicated to creating families for waiting children.
